A surprisingly nice evening greeted the second Inter Club race of 2008 at Lytham where Chorley AC held onto their overall 5th place with performances from their athletes Paul Wareing 77th(33:13), Emma Perrin 90th(33:48) and Stephen Fletcher 98th(34:11).

Adam Critchley ran a superb time of 2.49.23 in the Blackpool Marathon in his first attempt at the distance while 19-year-old Charlotte Johnson, who was also a marathon debutant, clocked 3.59.31.
