Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has promised to ring the changes for the visit of Rovers - which could see a first start for Ravel Morrison.

Summer signing Morrison got his first minutes of the season, after joining on a free transfer, in the weekend defeat to Leicester City.

He also played in a behind closed doors game against his former side Manchester United to build up his fitness.

And Wilder, speaking to the Sheffield Star, says the 26-year-old is among those likely to get an opportunity in the Carabao Cup second round tie.

Captain Billy Sharp, who netted four times in the two Championship matches against Rovers last season, will also be eyeing the chance to start for the first time this season.

“We’ll whizz the team around on Tuesday,” said Wilder, whose side travel to Chelsea this weekend.

“There’ll be changes.

“It’s important that those players not in the team at the moment get minutes.

“It’s a different aspect of management, to keep those boys ready and prepared to go in.

“We expect to go well in the cup, whatever team we put out, but it’ll give an opportunity for the likes of Rav, and a few others, to produce a performance.”
