Rovers goalkeeper Andrew Fisher has joined FC United of Manchester on a month-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old is third choice at Rovers, behind David Raya and Jayson Leutwiler, and has been on the first team bench once this season.
Fisher played three times for Rovers in the Checkatrade Trophy last term and signed a new three year contract last summer.
The 'keeper has joined the National League North strugglers ahead of tomorrow's game with Altrincham as they try to arrest a run of three consecutive defeats.
Fisher could play five times for Neil Reynolds' side during the next month.
He was the subject of interest from League Two sides in the January window, but it was Under-23s team-mate Ollie Byrne who was allowed to leave, first on loan, before making his move to Stevenage permanent.
Under-18s goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom could take Fisher's place in goal for the under-23s as they travel to Everton in the Premier League Cup tonight before hosting Accrington Stanley in the Lancashire Senior Cup on Monday.
Fisher is the third Rovers youngster to spend time with the Reds this season after full back Lewis Thompson and forward Lewis Mansell, who played 14 and 9 times respectively.
