HUNDREDS of primary school children battled it out for the chance to represent Chorley at a competition.

Prior to these finals, 29 Chorley Primary Schools (572 children) had competed in 4 heats from November to early January in the Year 5/6 competition and 26 Primary Schools (491 children) in 4 heats in the Year 3/4 competition.

Euxton Church of England Primary School led the way as both their teams at Year 5 and 6 and Years Three (pictured) and Four levels came out on top.

In the Year 5/6 event, the runners-up were Balshaw Lane while Christ Church in Charnock Richard were on the podium in third.

Meanwhile, in the Year 3/4 event, Christ Church in Charnock Richard were runners-up and Anderton St Joseph’s were third.

Euxton Church of England Primary will now go through to represent Chorley in the Level 3 School Games Competition on March 5 at Blackpool Sports Centre.
