I WAS astounded to read (LT, March 29) that council bosses' salaries are enormous, with our chief executive earning £120,682 per year and his job is not evaluated.
Hundreds of low paid council workers have had their jobs evaluated and lost thousands of pounds from their salaries.
No one working for the council in any executive or directorship should be collecting salaries of hundreds of thousands pounds a year. It is not fair on council taxpayers and when people are feeling the squeeze and trying to make ends meet, it is more than obscene.
