UNITED Utilities has launched a digital exhibition after lockdown halted its plan to publicly showcase proposals to refurbish the Haweswater Aqueduct.
East Lancashire residents living along the route of the pipeline can now view the details about the project from their own homes.
The virtual exhibition also provides the opportunity for residents to speak to the project team.
Stakeholder manager Jemma Parkinson said: “We’re committed to working with and supporting the communities we serve and have developed a comprehensive public consultation programme.
She added: “Unfortunately, social distancing guidelines, introduced as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, meant that we had to cancel the final five face-to-face exhibitions.
“We’re determined to continue with our public consultation which is why we’ve created virtual exhibitions instead.”
