The A6068 Keighley Road between Laneshawbridge and Cross Hills has been closed due to snow.

A United Utilities spokesman said its staff are out trying to support customers who are being affected by flooding across the north west.

The spokesman said: "The heavy rainfall across our region has caused significant flooding.

"Our teams are out across the North West helping customers who have experienced sewer flooding in their homes.

"If you are experiencing road or surface water flooding, please contact your local council as they are responsible.

"Many customers are contacting us with reports of leaks and on investigation many of these are as a result of sudden and heavy downpours and flooding to the highway as opposed to burst pipes.

"Once the flood water has subsided we will be able to investigate our pipework if the problem persists.

"If you are experiencing a wastewater blockage or an odour we ask for your patience and that you monitor this and contact us at a later date if the problem persists.

"However if you are experiencing sewer flooding please call us on 0345 6723 723 so that we can help you.

"If you have already reported an issue we may be taking longer to respond than normal due to the amount of disruption across the north west region.

"We are sorry for any delay, and assure you that we will be with you as soon as we can.

"We are prioritising help and support to customers with flooding inside their homes."
