A BMW which was being driven away from police officers end up in a canal.

Dramatic pictures show the white sport car after it nosedived headfirst into the canal following a pursuit with officers up the M6.

A police spokesman said: “This vehicle was involved in a pursuit on the M6 motorway yesterday.

“The two occupants managed to destroy a bridge before crashing into the canal at Forton.

“Please forward any information/dash cam footage to lancs police quoting log number 1265 6/8/20 @LancsRoadPolice #Team3TacOps”
