A MAN is to appear in court following an alleged incident outside a pub on the first day lockdown was lifted.
Daniel Brown, from Blackburn, has been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of assault on a member of the public.
The 32-year-old is expected to appear in front of magistrates on October 8.
A police spokesman said: “On Saturday, July 4, the pubs re-opened and for most it was a pleasant and enjoyable day with most people behaving.
“On this date police on foot patrol have attended a local pub in Blackburn town centre and were met with an intoxicated male who it was alleged had assaulted a member of the public.
“We have now charged Daniel Brown with two counts of assaulting emergency workers and one assault on a member of the public.”
