OFFICERS responding to a report of a kidnapping found the boy in a neighbour’s home after rushing to the scene.
Several response vehicles were sent to Waterbarn Street in Burnley shortly after 6.30pm on Thursday to reports of a public order in the area.
While attending, officers received a further report that a boy had been kidnapped from the street, but enquiries were made and the boy was found in a neighbouring property.
A police spokesman said: “No kidnap took place; no arrests were made.”
