FAST food lovers can rejoice as McDonald's are now operating take away options again.

Blackburn's McDonald's has resumed opening for take aways with special measures in place to keep customers and staff safe.

After their phased return earlier this month, thee food chain have adjusted to new rules which will allow customers to follow a one way system in the restaurant.

A limited number of people will be allowed inside and they will have to follow social distancing guidelines.

Customers will also be asked to wash their hands at cleaning stations introduced in the restaurants.

There will be fewer self-order screens switched on and those in use will be sanitised at least every 30 minutes.

Customers can also order via the My McDonald’s app.

People are also encouraged to visit alone to collect their food where possible.

For those visiting with children, play areas and digital play areas will remain closed as well as seating areas and customer toilets and lifts.

With dining areas closed, recycling points will also remain closed.

The large majority of McDonald’s packaging can be recycled, and customers are encouraged to dispose of their litter responsibly and recycle wherever possible when they get home.

This follows the government's new plans to ease restrictions as more places start to open up in July.
