Pictures have been released of a man police a looking for after a wallet containing £1,000 was reportedly stolen on a train to Darwen.
British Transport Police say the incident happened between 2.44pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The stolen bank cards in the wallet were later used to buy items from a service station, which is shown in the CCTV images.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers would like to speak to the man in the images who may have information that could help their investigation.”
The force is asking anyone who knows the man in the image to contact BTP by texting 61016, calling 0800 40 50 40 or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
