POLICE were called after a drunk returning home walked into the wrong house.
Blackburn magistrates heard Gerrard Allonby was being abusive towards the householders, and when the police took him outside he made threats towards them before pushing one of them.
Allonby, 52, of Green Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker and being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer and £32 victim surcharge.
Gareth Price, defending, said his client had been out drinking with a friend.
He normally lived at his daughter’s home but when he had been drinking slept at his son’s house.
“He went back to his son’s home but mistook the front door and walked into a neighbour’s house,” said Mr Price.
“The neighbour was caused some consternation and called the police.”
Mr Price said his client had little recollection of the evening.
“His behaviour was described to him and he was disgusted.”
