THE search is on for the class of 1951.
Local historian Barbara Riding has sent in this great class photograph from Park Road Infant School in Blackburn. Neither Park Road Infant nor Junior School is standing, Along with the Park Road Congregational Church they were cleared to make way for Blackburn Ice Arena.
Barbara - Miss Brett in those days- can recall a number of pupils in the class but is asking Bygones readers to help her fill in the gaps.
On the back she has recognised Jimmy Hesketh, Stuart Nightingale, Frank, ?, John Whalley, ?, ?, David Lang, Joey Abbott.
The middle row (left to right) Susan Cockbain, Barbara Crook, ?, ?, Adrienne Fearnhead, David Ashton, John Whittle, Tommy Hosker, Barry, ? Ann Bennison, Rita Peart, Kathleen ?, ?.
The two boys on the front row are Stewart Martindale and a little boy she remembers as being called Bernard.
