RAWTENSTALL have signed Aussie pace bowler Allan Wise for next season's Lancashire League campaign.
Wise, 26, a left arm attack bowler, is currently top of the averages in his native Victoria and will link up with last season's pro, Andrew Payne, who has remained as an amateur.
Chairman Brian Payne said: "We are delighted to have signed Allan because a good opening bowler is exactly what everyone at the club wanted.
"Andrew is staying on as an amateur so we are hoping he gets the runs and Allan takes plenty of wickets."
