POLICE searching for a missing Burnley grandmother have discovered a body, officers said today.
Officers from the British Transport Police found the body while searching land close to Brougham Street yesterday as part of a search for Susan Gray, 55.
It will be formally identified today and police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
A spokeswoman said: "A body was found at 2.45pm by officers searching land by the railway line in Burnley close to Brougham Steet.
"The body has not yet been formerly identified so at the moment we are not releasing a name. There are no suspicious circumstances."
Mrs Gray disappeared from her Allerton Drive home on November 9.
