TOCKHOLES Road, Darwen is to be closed to allow building works on nearby land.
The closure, allowed by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, will come into force on Monday, January 5.
The road will be closed from its junction with James Street West to Prince Street.
Work is expected to take until April 30 next year.
An Alternative route for pedestrians will be via Prince Street, Police Street, Green Street, Borough Road and James Street West.
For eastbound vehicles, the alternative route is via Everton Street, Wood Street, Varley Street, Market Street, Arch Street, Borough Road and James Street West.
The route for westbound vehicles is via James Street West, Borough Road, Green Street, Wood Street and Everton Street.
