HOW discerning the maxim "Don't see old friends as new enemies" penned by your columnist Shuiab Khan and endorsed by Rani Beg (Letters, December 9).
I share their dismay when people do this, particularly in the case of America, Britain's tried and trusted friend and ally for over a century.
The people who try to make enemies out of old friends should consult the sagacious words of your columnist.
