WITH regard to the story in the LET about criticism of Club Tropicana at King George's Hall, what is the problem with the council providing a safe, friendly environment for us thirty-somethings?

Are the local pub/club owners jealous of the council for not charging over-inflated prices for entry, and even more inflated drinks prices to listen to over bassed "modern" music?

We like the "school days" music played at Club Tropicana, the atmosphere and the prices!

Why don't the owners take a leaf out of the council's book and try something similar rather than making "a quick buck"?
