ISN'T it about time that people stopped trying to get their moment of glory over Darwen Moorland High School if it is to 'get back up' again.

This school has had numerous problems, including dealing with very challenging behaviour. They have had to carry on regardless.

Parents and staff should now begin to work as a team and start to foster the important link that is now needed in this community and get rid of the culture that has developed over these last few years.

Joan Hepple's letter 'achievements worth a mention" in Thursday's LET, mentioned all the good points about the school and there are more, staff that care and will go out of their way for a child, help them to integrate into Year Seven from primary, providing help and stability when they need it.

There are committed staff who go above and beyond to help students. A partnership is now needed to get this school back on top, so stop talking. It is not just a paper exercise.

Being proactive is what is important and working together with the parents and families of these students. So get on with it and help the dedicated staff to do what they want to do -- give these students an education.
