BRADLEY Orr and Paul Rachubka both got a run out as Burnley Reserves continued their recent revival.

The recent loan signings both made impressive displays at Bradford, where a late own goal by Bantams defender Simon Francis earned Ronnie Jepson's men a deserved share of the spoils.

"We had enough chances to win three or four games," Jepson said.

"It was a shame none of them went in but that's the way it goes sometimes.

"Credit to the players though for getting into those areas in the first place to create the chances. On another day, they would have gone in."

The Clarets had fallen behind in the 25th minute as Ben Muirhead cut in from the right to beat Rachubka with a stinging drive.

But with six other first team members in a strong starting line-up, Burnley rallied to draw level with just three minutes left as Alan Moore's low cross was deflected home by Francis.

Newcastle reserve team skipper Orr made a promising full debut in central midfield, almost opening the scoring early on with a curling drive that Bantams keeper Alan Combe turned around the post.

Matt O'Neill and Ryan Townsend also came close as Burnley dominated before City grabbed the lead against the run of play.

However, with Luke Chadwick showing glimpses of his best form, the Clarets staged a second half fightback, with the on-loan Manchester United winger having a shot cleared off the line in the 50th minute.

Chadwick was twice more denied by the agile Combe, first from a fierce volley and then from close-range as he seemed certain to score.

But with ten minutes remaining, it was on-loan Charlton stopper Rachubka's turn to save Burnley with an instinctive stop from Robert Wolleaston.

City then spurned a golden chance to secure victory when Danny Forrest raced clear only to fire wide with just Rachubka to beat.

And they were made to pay with time running out as Burnley's second string made it three matches unbeaten to mirror the first team's run of form since the New Year.
