THE Red Cross flew an East Lancashire woman to Toronto to be with her fiance, so she could fulfil her dream of getting married on her 21st birthday.
The bride was on a ship to Canada which was being slowed by gales before the Red Cross intervened.
And Blackburn YWCA had the idea of holding a Valentine party for 15 married and 10 engaged couples who first met at the club.
