The Friday, February 27 event at the Canal Duke in Stour Road Astley will also feature top entertainer Gary Lucas and 70s' tribute band Brian and Chris plus a Blues Brothers act.

The event is being organised by compere Tom Critchley and Kevin Corcoran.

Kevin, who last year lost both his parents is raising money to thank the staff of coronary care for their hard-work and dedication.

To boost proceeds for the hospital Kevin has made a CD featuring hits such as Cutting Crew's I just died in your arms tonight which are on sale at the Canal Duke and at hospital.

Kevin said: "With a hefty £300 raised already, it's hoped people will dig deep into their pockets and give generously. I have recorded a CD and have tried to sell copies to raise funds.

"A close friend of mine has donated a huge teddy bear which has been raffled over the last two weekends with the proceeds going into the pot. All money raised is going to the hospital.

"The recording sessions were a present from my wife. The discs, labels, printing and plastic wallets are being donated by myself. Nothing will be deducted from the proceeds."
