A NEW version of the blueprint for future development in the Leigh area has gone on display.
Wigan planners have published a revised version of the Unitary Development Plan which will decide how land is used over the next few years.
Since UDP proposals were published last April changes have been made after objections were lodged and these changes are now open to further scrutiny.
The new version is on deposit at planning headquarters in Wigan and also at Wigan and Leigh town halls and at council libraries throughout the borough or on the council's website at: www.wiganmbc.uk/pub/planning/pages/udpreview.htm
Changes included in the new version are open for debate until March 18, but objections or suggestions must relate to the changes, not to unaltered parts of the UDP.
All those who make legitimate objections to the plan at this stage and those who objected to the initial version will have the right to put their case to a government inspector at a public inquiry in September in Wigan.
