A 44-YEAR-old man found dead at an address in Golborne was named by police on Friday as Andrew Ashcroft.
Mr Ashcroft was found dead at 3.30am on Wednesday at his home in High Street. A post mortem examination revealed he died from a neck injury.
Detectives have been granted a further 36 hours to question a 38-year-old Wigan man arrested on suspicion of murder.
