An author has pledged to give half of the royalties from his latest novel to Derian House childrens hospice.
Allan Mayer, 48, a care worker who lives in Chorley, has written a novel called ‘Tasting the Wind,’ which features characters who have severe learning disabilities.
The part-time author is best known in the Chorley area for his nine successive pantomine appearances in the town.
When he was an Ugly Sister in Cinderella, he raised money for Derian House through a sponsored beard shave.
Allan’s new book, published by YouWriteOn is now available in Waterstones, WH Smith and at Amazon.co.uk
