AN ELECTRICAL store in Burnley has raised nearly £200 to help nine-year-old Joshua Ford, who had his legs amputated after contacting meningitis.
Curry's in Burnley handed over the cheque for £177 to Joshua and his family on Saturday.
The store held a chocolate fountain, a raffle and had a choir perform.
Joshua, nine, of Lisbon Drive, Burnley, fell ill with a rare form of the meningitis bug at the end of August, and had to have his legs removed once septicemia set in.
Joshua currently has NHS prosthetic legs but his family have set up the Joshua Ford Fund in the hope of buying state-of-the-art prosthetic legs for him when he has stopped growing.
