THIEVES in Burnley have been targeting television aerial wire.
Cable was taken from 14 houses in the Manchester Road area of town over the weekend.
Trinity community beat manger PC Ian Willis said: "They have been cutting the wire that runs externally from house windows.
"We believe the wire is being sold for scrap but this is pointless because about six metres of wire only would get about 5p.
This means for the total wire stolen they would only get £4.20."
