CLARETS manager Owen Coyle helped launch East Lancashire Primary Care Trust's alcohol-reduction campaign.
The Burnley boss met health chiefs and lent his support to the hard-hitting campaign, which is aimed at cutting drinking among young people.
He said: "As role models I feel it is important for anyone involved in sport to set an example.
"There is now clear evidence that drinking excessively can seriously affect your health and I have always felt that avoiding alcohol has had a major impact on my wellbeing.
"I would there-fore ask all supporters to be aware of the effects of alcohol and to think seriously about its impact."
