AN anthology in memory of an East Lancs newspaper editor is to be published on May 15.

Slip Through the Silence: Facing Adversity with Verse will be published by Clitheroe Books Press in memory of Leigh Morrissey, former editor of the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times, who died of Motor Neurone Disease in March 2005.

The 40-page book, supported by Ribble Valley Council and Printoff Graphic Arts Ltd, Nelson, features poetry with the theme facing adversity' from writers throughout the country.

Editors Theresa Robson and Jo Harding aim to raise £1,500 from the project for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pendleside Hospice, Burnley.

The work will be launched at the Bengal Tandoori Restaurant in Whalley Road, Clitheroe, at a gala dinner. Tickets priced £10 include a two-course meal, and are available from Jo Harding at Clitheroe Books, Moor Lane, Clitheroe (01200 444242).
