Taken in 1992 this is an aerial view of Accrington town centre.
The railway, including the impressive viaduct, runs across the photograph. In the middle of the picture is the Arndale Centre with the market hall in the foreground next to the town hall.
On the right of the photograph you can see the recently-created dual carriageway and Hyndburn Road heads off to the top left
