A vehicle has been seized for having no insurance, with the driver being reported while other drivers have been issued tickets for driving in an ‘anti-social manner’.

Officers in Blackburn have been working with the community to find vehicles speeding and driving irresponsibly.

Today, officers have issued a number of tickets to people in the Queens Park and Audley area, one of which for a person driving without a seat belt.

The driver of the vehicle which was seized for no insurance was reported for the offence as well as using an incorrectly registered vehicle.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Blackburn Neighbourhood Officers have been listening to the concerns in the community, in regards to vehicles speeding and driving in an anti-social manner.

“Today in the Queens Park and Audley area, officers have issued multiple different traffic tickets, including for driving with no seat belt.

“A vehicle was also seized for no insurance and the driver was reported for the offence as well as using an incorrectly registered vehicle.
