The driver reported the cat as stolen
A driver was arrested after failing to stop for police, driving dangerously and falsely claiming his car was stolen.
A spokesman for police in Accrington said: "If you fail to stop for the police and drive dangerously when under the influence, then call the police claiming your vehicle has been stolen, be prepared to be arrested for numerous offences and put before the courts which is what happened this evening in Accrington."
