The body of a man in his 30s was found in a wooded area close to a main road.
On Friday, a large emergency service presence was spotted on Cottam Way in Preston.
Cordons were erected close to the junction with Tom Benson Way while police dealt with the incident.
Officers later confirmed that a man in his 30s had been found dead, and a file had been passed to the coroner.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We attended Cottam Way in Preston to reports of the sudden death of a man in his 30s.
"He was found outdoors in a wooded area.
"It is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be passed to HM Coroner in due course."
