A HOUSE party was broken up at a terraced house that was also being advertised as a hotel.
On Friday evening, officers were alerted to an address on Whalley Street in Burnley.
The house had been on the police’s radar for some time after fed-up residents reported the homeowner for having constant house parties on weekend.
When officers disrupted the house party, they also discovered the address was being advertised as a hotel.
PCSO Sam Baysal said: “On Friday evening officers from the Neighbourhood Team disrupted a house party in progress at an address on Whalley Street in the Daneshouse & StoneyHolme Ward.
“The address had been reported to us earlier in the month via fed up local residents and Lancashire Talking, for having constant house parties on a weekend. It transpires that this property was being advertised as a hotel.
“The landlord has been spoken to with the council also being informed.
“Disruption like this will not be tolerated. Not only does it cause a huge amount of stress and Anti-social behaviour for local residents, but it is also breaking current national Covid restrictions.
“We will continue to target Anti-social behaviour and target the offenders.”
