A KITCHEN fire broke out today with one casualty being treated at the scene.
Fire crews from Hyndburn and Darwen were called to a home on Corporation Street, Accrington just before 3pm this afternoon, but the fire was already out when they arrived.
The fire, which started in the kitchen, involved hot oil and fire service personnel treated one casualty.
Crews also used a positive pressure ventilation unit to remove smoke from the home.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 14:56 on January 23, fire engines from Hyndburn and Darwen attended a fire at a domestic property on Corporation Street, Accrington.
"The fire involved hot oil in the kitchen and was out when firefighters arrived.
"Crews used a positive pressure ventilation unit to remove smoke from the property.
"One casualty was treated at the scene by Fire Service personnel.
"Crews remained on scene for approximately one hour."
