I have never written to the local press on any issues but this time is a rare exception.
I work with adults who have learning disabilities and like all carers we have been following the vaccination rollout and waited our turn.
Having booked on and given a time and date for my vaccination I attended the Blackburn Cathedral Centre. Each stage was very well organised and very professional, from a friendly welcome on my early arrival, whilst giving my details and registering my attendance, followed by being directed through to the cubicle where an army medic administered the vaccination.
A couple of minutes small talk from the army medic while preparing the jab was excellent for any nervous or anxious attendee, l guess she has the same chat multiple times throughout her shift, and although l was relaxed, it would be a welcome to some.
Thank you to each and every person, whether giving a large or small contribution to the entire process, well done. Looking forward to my return visit when the invite comes.
