CALLING all Rovers fans, let's get behind one of their newest fans to help her in a worldwide cutest baby contest.

Hannah Stuart from Darwen has entered her granddaughter Lyla-Mae Thomson Wilson in the online competition sporting a kit of Tony Mowbray's side.of

It seems to have brought her success as she is currently second in the voting in the UK and was in the top 30 around the world out of more than 40,000 entrants.

The 41-year-old said: "I had seen a post on Facebook about the contest and wanted to enter to see if we could win.

"Lyla was born on September 22 last year and was a COVID baby so I thought that if she wins my daughter could get some nice things for her.

"We are all Rovers supporters including her mum Maegan and I have supported them all my life.

"There is a prize for finishing top in the UK and then another for the world and I thought she could get £460 which she could get a couple more Rovers kits or even a season ticket for her.

"I bought her the Rovers kit for Christmas and she has already got 30,000 votes already and I put it on the Rovers supporters groups on Facebook and lots of people have voted.

"It would be great if more Rovers could vote for her and you get 10 votes per day and the closing date is February 1, so we need all the support we can get."

Hannah added that she has been delighted with friends posting on her Facebook supporting them and is so proud of her granddaughter.

She said: "Lyla is a laugh a minute and is a proper little giggler and is gorgeous and lovely content baby but I am going to say that as she is my granddaughter.

"It is amazing to be 21st in the world and also second in the UK but I want to get as much support to get her to number one.

"It is a tough time with COVID but she is a baby born during the pandemic and it is good the see people voting for her.

"My friends on Facebook have been saying they are getting up in the morning and voting so it is good getting the community behind her."
