MORE than 100 Rotarians and Clitheroe residents have been helping to marshal elderly people receiving their coronavirus vaccinations.
They have been assisting at Clitheroe Health Centre since Christmas by organising car parking and queues.
The marshals have been recruited by Clitheroe and Ribblesdale Rotary Clubs.
Organiser Bill Honeywell said: "When we heard that vaccines were coming to the health centre we wondered what we could do.
"We put out an appeal for car park marshals and 45 Rotarians and their wives immediately answered.
"Since then many members of the public have volunteered to join us and we have had 140 people helping out.
"If necessary we could staff the health centre with marshals sevens days a week, 24 hours a day."
