ONE thing that we have all been missing over the past few months has been live entertainment.
Currently theatres are closed and there’s no opportunity to hear live music or see performers take to the stage.
To try and make up for this in a small way, we turned to our archives and came up with these photographs taken during the Hyndburn Schools Dance Festival in 2015.
Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre, as it was then called, hosted two-nights of performances from pupils from primary and secondary schools around the Hyndburn area.
It was a colourful spectacular with many schools choosing pop songs or musical favourites to choreograph their own routines to.
Perhaps you or your child took part in the event or you may spot someone you recognise.
Let’s just hope that it’s not too long before the theatres are able to open once more and that the young, potential stars of tomorrow get the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences again.
