PART of a road was sealed off for hours this morning as police searched for a missing child.
Residents noticed a police presence on Ellesmere Road around 7am this morning, with officers taping off a section of the street.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that officers were searching for a missing child, an eight-year-old girl who was reported missing last night.
She has since been found, and the cordon, near to the junction of Woodbine Road, was lifted shortly before lunchtime.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8pm on Wednesday 27 May 2020, police were called to Ellesmere Road in Bolton to reports of a missing child.
"She has since been found safe and well."
