ALL lanes on the M6 northbound were shut following a crash this morning, Thursday.
The multi-vehicle collision happened on the Thelwall Viaduct between junction 20 for Lymm and junction 21 for Woolston.
All traffic was stopped at around 9.30am.
The road was reopened shortly before 12pm but delays remain in the area.
A doctor was called to the scene to treatone of the drivers along with paramedics, police and firefighters.
Diversions were in place for traffic heading northbound.
