Taken in 1954 this photograph shows how Blackburn town centre has changed.
You can clearly make out the cathedral and behind it the busses on the Boulevard. The large chimney of Dutton’s Brewery stands proud in the middle of the photograph and next to it the former Northern Daily Telegraph building, as it was then, complete with its distinctive tower.
