MOTORISTS looking to travel on the M65 during the early hours of this morning were asked to look for an alternative route.
Traffic officers and Lancashire Road Police were called to the motorway between junction seven for Accrington and junction six for Blackburn following reports of animals in the road.
Upon arrival it became clear that a number of deer had made their way onto the carriageway.
Traffic was stopped as they dealt with the animals and the road has now been reopened.
