An emergency road closure has been put in place due to falling trees.
Billinge Avenue, between Preston New Road and Gorse Road in Blackburn, has been shut after a tree fell on Manor Road.
Staff from Blackburn with Darwen Council's road team said there was potential for another tree to fall so have shut the road as a precaution.
A spokesperson for the council said: "Due to a fallen tree on Manor Road, and a potential for another to fall onto Billinge Avenue, we have closed a section Billinge Avenue.
"We have tree surgeons on site and we aim to get the road back open as soon as possible."
The road has been closed in both ways, but traffic appears to be coping well.
