ALL NHS employees and health and social care staff can now use Warrington’s Own Buses free of charge by showing their identification to the driver.

The bus company wants to show support to the people at the front line of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic in the community.

From tomorrow, Friday all employees - including agency staff - will be included on the free travel perk.

Bus employees have provided services throughout the current crisis and are proud to play their part.

Bus company board member Tom Jennings said: "There are many things we can all do - apart from staying at home - to help and support those risking their own health to help others during this pandemic.

"I’m delighted that we can make a small gesture for our NHS heroes who will now be able to get to work and home again safely without charge on Warrington's Own Buses in these unprecedented times."

Bus service timetables will also change again from Monday, March 30 due to the crisis and so people should check the website before they travel.

Warrington’s Own Buses has already extended concessionary pass use to free at all times and is allowing customers to pause season tickets, which can be done at www.warringtonsownbuses.co.uk.
