A KIND-HEARTED schoolgirl who is recovering from an operation made sure her elderly friend had her cupboards stocked amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Charlotte Branwood, from Orford, was off school for two weeks before the government called for their widespread closure, while recovering from an operation.
Despite being at high risk of catching the virus herself, seven-year-old Charlotte was determined not to let her elderly friend go without.
Laura Branwood, Charlotte's mum, said: "She has been watching the news while off school and said she felt sad because of everything that is going on.
"She didn’t like the idea of a lady who lives over the road from my mum going without.
"This lady has always brought my daughter presents for Christmas and Easter, and on many more occasions.
"Charlotte just wanted to make sure she had something."
Charlotte and Laura delivered the food package from a safe distance.
Laura added: "She was so happy with it, we are so proud of Charlotte."
