IN his latest news conference, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said it is possible ‘to turn the tide’ of the coronavirus in the next 12 weeks.

Speaking from Downing Street, he said the country needs to take the precautionary steps advised by the Government in order for this to happen.

The first British coronavirus patient has today, Thursday been put into a ‘random trial’ for testing.

Despite speculation, the Prime Minister confirmed there is ‘no prospect of stopping the Tube’ in London for workers.

137 people have now died from coronavirus in the UK.

The Bank of England has also reduced interest rates to 0.1 per cent down from 0.25 – their lowest level in history.

The Church of England has also limited weddings to five people.
