A LLANDUDNO salon is set to become the battleground for an epic clash of styles this month - but not in the way you might think.

Working with a collective of veteran artists from across North Wales, Blend Coffee and Teas at Clinton James, on Vaughan Street, will host the first in a series of live art tournaments on Saturday, March 21 from 6pm.

In a twist on the classic Art Battles format - which originated in new York and has since taken root in vibrant scenes from Barcelona to Bangalore - Blend will present a creative Battle Royale where six artists, with six unique styles, must compete at once in a first heat to vye for their place in the final.

Once the hour is up, the live audience will cast votes with tokens to select three artists for a final, 30 minute quick fire round to crown the official winner of the inaugural competition.

Across the evening, attendees will also have the chance to claim a piece of art history, with a silent auction held throughout the evening. Scattered throughout the venue during the competition, there will also be a selection North Wales creatives selling their wares in our mini art market.

To compliment the visual stimulation, there will also be acoustic accompaniment from two soon to be announced musicians.

Tickets are £10 - with an additional 50p service charge - which includes a glass of prosecco and a selection of food. Each guest will also receive a goody bag filled with a variety of pieces donated by the artists.
