POLICE say the death of a woman whose body was found this week is not being treated as suspicious following a post-mortem.
Two people who were initally arrested in connection with her death have been released and will face no further action, detectives have added.
Emergency services were called to a house on Stainton Close, Carr Mill just after 4am on Wednesday, February 26, where the 51-year-old woman's death was confirmed.
The 40-year-old woman and 50-year-old man were both questioned yesterday while the death was classed as "unexplained", however, Merseyside Police has ruled out foul play.
A police spokeswoman said: "Following further enquiries and a Home Office Post Mortem the death has been deemed non-suspicious.
"A 40-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man who were arrested on suspicion of murder have now been released with no further action."

Detectives had initially appealed for anyone with information to come forward to help with the investigation.
